In Collaboration with the Family Development Foundation The Ministry of Community Development Launches the "Together for a Bright Future for Adolescents" Campaign to Raise Awareness on Proper Ways to Engage with Adolescents
The Ministry of Community Development, in collaboration with the Family Development Foundation in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, launched an awareness campaign titled "Together for a Bright Future for Adolescents." The initiative aimed to enhance awareness among parents, school administrators, educators in both public and private schools, and university students on the best practices for engaging with adolescents. This initiative aligns with the Ministry's vision of achieving "A Happy Family in a Cohesive Society."
Through the "Awareness and Training Program for Parents and Adolescents’ Caregivers," the Ministry seeks to promote effective approaches to interacting with adolescents, ultimately improving their quality of life and ensuring comprehensive social protection for all members of society.
The Ministry has been organizing a series of continuous awareness workshops to educate the community on positive engagement with adolescents. These efforts aim to uphold their right to life and development, foster a calm and safe family environment, and support their psychological, emotional, and social well-being.
The program is designed to empower parents by equipping them with problem-solving and decision-making skills, fostering mutual respect, and maintaining authentic social traditions and values. This approach ensures that adolescents grow up in a stable and secure environment that nurtures their healthy psychological and emotional development.
Additionally, the program focuses on enhancing adolescents' mental well-being by ensuring they have access to a healthy and supportive environment. It also supports parents in understanding the biological, psychological, and behavioral changes their children experience during this phase, while promoting effective communication between parents and their children to better understand their needs and emotions.
