Application for Licensing of Private Family Consulting Centers

Granting individuals and centers a license to engage in programs, activities and services to improve the quality of family life and ensure its stability and cohesion. These services include: - Family counseling - Psychological and educational counseling. - Therapeutic and training workshops and plans - Guidance and counseling - Matchmaking between those wishing to marry

Service Fee: AED 5,000 SLA: 30 working days

Service Conditions and Requirements

Nationality

The applicant must be a UAE citizen, or a legal person taking one of the forms of companies listed in Federal Law No. (2) of 2015 on Commercial Companies, as amended. Education

Education

The applicant must hold an accredited university qualification from a UAE recognized university in special education, psychology, counseling and mental health, sociology, social work or other disciplines related to family affairs

Age

The applicant must be at least thirty (30) years old and have full civil capacity.

Good Conduct

The applicant must not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or dishonesty, even if he has been rehabilitated.

License

No previous license issued to the license applicant has been cancelled for violating any of the conditions and controls stipulated in Cabinet Resolution No. (54) of 2020 Concerning Non-Government Organizations Providing Rehabilitation Services to Persons with Disabilities (People of Determination), unless more than (3) years have passed since this cancellation.

Econmic Activity

- The applicant shall not add any other kind of economic activities within the approved economic activities of non-government organizations providing the rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities (people of determination).
- Provide an appropriate premises that meets all the technical, engineering, health and environmental standards approved by the relevant authorities in this regard.

Conditions for Marriage License

In order to obtain a license to provide the service of matchmaking between those wishing to marry:
- The applicant must be a UAE citizen and the owner of the center.
- The applicant's academic qualification must not be less than high school or its equivalent.
- The center's activity must be limited to providing the service of matchmaking between those wishing to marry.
