Social Welfare Application

The Social Welfare Program is a government support program aimed at enhancing the quality of life for low income UAE citizens and their families. The program provides new allowances to support eligible beneficiaries. These allowances are disbursed according to eligibility rules that are determined based on social status.

Service Conditions and Requirements

Nationality

The beneficiary must be a UAE citizen.

Age

The beneficiary must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Work

If the primary beneficiary is able to work and is of age below (45) forty-five years, he must work and be insured by one of the insurance and pension entities in the UAE or be retired.

Income

The family's total monthly income must be below the eligibility line

Assets

The total value of assets owned by the family must be below the asset threshold, which includes licenses, real estate income, and any other income for both the husband and his wife/wives.

Exceptions

A number of categories are excluded from age or employment requirements, as follows:
1. Orphans, children of convicts while the mother is absent or ineligible, and those of unknown parentage.
2. Persons with health impairment who are proven to be unable to work.
3. Persons with disabilities “People of Determination”.
4. Widows, divorced and abandoned women, the wives of convicts, and those married to foreigners who are unable to work.

Detailed Salary Certificate for Head of Household and Wife/ Wives.
Real Estate documents for leased properties (i.e. rental contracts/ percentage of ownership) for
Head of Household and Wife/ Wives.
Proof of Income for Commercial Licenses for Head of Household and Wife/Wives.
Proof of Ongoing University Education or Enrollment in National Service for Children that are Not Working aged between 20 and 24.
Divorced women: Proof of Custody from the Court with at least one child < 4 years old or at least one child who is POD < 21 years old. Emirates IDs for children with custody
Abandoned women: Proof of abonnement decision by court
Spouse of Incapacitated Foreigner:Husband's ID Medial Report issued by a government hospital within the last 6 months (reports from Cleveland Hospital are accepted) Imprisonment court decision, proof of a minimum two-month suspension at the time of issuance, or a court-ordered deportation with supporting evidence of its execution. IDs of the dependent children
Children of Unknown Parentage: Guardian/custodian ID:Guardianship/custody deed:Detailed salary certificate for the guardian and wife/wives. Documents related to leased real estate for the guardian and wife/wives. Proof of income for commercial licenses for the guardian and wife/wives
People with Health Disabilities: Medical Report issued by a government hospital within the last 6 months (reports from Cleveland Hospital are accepted)
Family of Prisoner:Imprisonment court decision, proof of a minimum two-month detention at the time of issuance. Personal photo of the prisoner Termination of the prisoner's service or suspension of his salary from his workplace.
For unemployed individuals seeking employment aged 25 to 44: Service termination certificate from a government entity/semi government entity indicating the reasons for termination.
